I've been having fun in 1.00.08 playing multiple games. I've been having fun trying out different things like getting every country involved. I found that when I had the Allies DoW Switzerland, Yugoslavia, Portugal and Iraq that they joined with Italy instead of Germany. The other countries went to Germany as should be with all countries that join the Axis when DoW'd by the Allies.

Germany is the leader of the pack and you better believe that Adolph would have wanted all countries who join the Axis to align themselves with Germany as Leader of the Pack.

What happens to countries allied with Italy when Italy surrenders? Do they then switch to automatically realign with Germany? I'm still working my way to that point but may not get there in my latest game with the 1.00.09 patch coming imminently.

So if allied with Italy then when Italy falls those countries would switch to being allied with Germany. Still just better if all countries who join the Axis ally with Germany. Unless Italy actually does all the hard work capturing the economic hexes that constitute a country's surrender value. Plus more realistic.
