Vanilla 39 scenario, prefer experienced players. Getting back into this game now that the big patch is out. Hopefully there are no major bugs here...

I want to try the German side. I would consider me, especially for the Germans, moderate experience. But I can get out 2-3 turns a day during the phoney war and at least once a day after. I believe there is one bug in the game regarding shipyards but it may be fixed by the time it comes up. Also, it may not be critical since other factors will probably limit UK ship production before it becomes a problem.

Closed. I owed Battlevonwar a game and he reminded me of this. Maybe next time, Kennonlightfoot.

You are having a rough time of it over there, yeah. I've been thinking about this. Canada is going to be on escort production duty from the getgo, and I think the USA is also going to have to focus on building merchants, escorts and maybe some ASW air early on until the Atlantic stabilizes. I am also seriously considering, for the first time, actually producing patrol groups. The USA may even have to devote early production towards expanding its shipyard capacity. Personally I am glad the BoA is a real fight now, the Western Allies had it way too easy before. It's a whole new game. We will see if the changes go too far in the other direction.

Historically the allies didn't win the BoA until 1943. And the game for the first time reflects that.

I agree. I am not judging anything until the game is over. Maybe this is how the game is supposed to be. All the more reason to look at another game to compare .

Yes I feel try landbased air is a no go but building patrolgrps might be on. I have been building escorts with Canada for the last 4 games or so. And I have built shipyards for the US as well in a couple of games .
