While working on my mod some questions came up I couldn't find any answers for:

1. Is it possible to add non-gaseous strategic resources to ice planets?
Whenever I try this I get an error when switching to the modified theme...
Seems to me like a rather random limitation? Why shouldn't there be non-gaseous resources of interest on ice worlds?

2. What are manufacured goods/resources?
This really is a mystery to me
In the resources.txt file one of the lines is described as:

ColonyManufacturingLevel:
numeric value indicating whether resource is a manufactured resource at colonies. When greater than zero then resource is not naturally occurring but rather is manufactured at sufficiently developed colonies. Value indicates required population and development level before resource may randomly appear at a colony: value = population in billions * development level

This option is set to "0" for ALL resources so it's basically a completely unused feature or am I missing something here?
Why would the developers implement such a feature and don't make use of it?

I would be interested in knowing if this feature actually works? And if it is how does it work?

1) I suspect not ... but do not quote me on it.
2) The advanced tech on solar power (last) allows a energy to fuel converter, which I suspect is a manufactured resource. Someone was working on a mod to add more resource types that were manufactured. Perhaps this explains it?
