The reaction is overblown. This is just a fact. It's sad for the people who died and their families. No one contradicts that. But they estimated 606,000 people died from cancer in 2020 and I don't see us ruining our economy for that. And 315,000 is less than 0.1% of our population. Yes, if it is one of your family members or a friend or yourself, stats mean nothing, but the world drives off of stats. And I'm sure someone will say that cancer for some people is a lot harder to avoid than Covid, but Covid is a virus. We try and avoid the cold and the flu every year but most of us still get a cold and a significant amount still get the flu. Hell, I got the flu shot and still either got the flu or got Covid in February 2020. And sure. This thread will be locked pretty soon.
