Speaking of refunds.... I refunded a game on Steam. Didn't think I'd have time to play it. Two days later, I found it was still on my hard drive.

And it worked, offline.

Ended up buying it again, and a bunch of DLCs.

The Arbiter from Bill and Ted... am I showing my age here? :D.

He came back in time to deliver an important message. That message is "Be excellent to each other".

To do any less, would be bogus.

And yet Alfred pointed out good things. Do we take this poster seriously or not.

Yeah, sure, why not? Let's take 'em seriously. Really seriously.

Just think about all the money you might have spent from crappy Hollywood movies in the old days and that’s money thrown in the wind. I like Matrix and Slitherine. For the most part, every game bought, I liked but I don’t play them that often. Except, Panzer Korp still play that game over Panzer korp 2. I don’t play it on Steam because I don’t want to see the number of hours. I would bet it’s in the 4000-5000 range

If I want to check out a game before I purchase it, I watch a YouTube video (or two or three or more) of it. I used to rely on written game reviews but some reviewers do not share my taste in games.

As mentioned, Steam and GOG.com both will refund your money if you want them to. But I like to buy my Matrix/Slitherine games from Matrix/Slitherine. Not only do they make more money that way, but the games I purchase are listed on My Page.

I don't watch any Matrix/Slitherine games before buying them--I know what I like and I've never been disappointed. But I sometimes watch 'em after the purchase if I want to observe gameplay and learn how to play better.

I get most of my games on Matrix, and few on Steam and other places.

I do like seeing my statistics via Steam, since I started using Steam for 'tracking' I have noticed the following:

WitW: 50 hours
WitE: 100 hours
TOAW IV: 2,736 hours

Only God knows how many hours before Steam and also with the Panzer Command Series. lol

I only use Steam for Matrix/Slitherine games that have lots of DLCs or if the game's .exe file is very large (e.g. more than 2 GB or something...).

Going to lock this up - if you ever have an issue getting one of our games to run, please reach out to us. We are happy to help and there are options beyond the official posted policy available to our support staff depending on the situation.

It's also worth adding that I just heard from our support. They were able to troubleshoot the issue with the original poster and get WITP:AE working fine on his system.

Regards,

- Erik
