What about Port Blair? It is the cork in the Malacca strait bottle. It will make his supply route to Rangoon under risk of air and sea attack if you take and hold Port Blair. It will also threaten a further landing at Sabang or along the lower coast of southern Burma or norther Malaya. The threat to southern Burma would be a risk to cutting his forces off above Pegu and his retreat out of Burma could be a very long slow and costly trug through the jungle to Thailand. I suggest this as it seems you have a lot of excess troops in India as your post suggests so then you would need to win local air superiority over Port Blair but already have the troops on hand. As you accurately state knowing where the KB is would be the clue where your operation should occur away from it.

I am holding Car Nicobar to the south of Port Blair with an Indian division. I cant gain air superiority over there though thats the main issue , Andy Mac got 1000 fighters at Rangoon. I need to find a target that would split Japanese airpower

Today allied carriers hit a supply convoy unloading at Midway and F4F-7 from CV Hornet found KB's position , 21 hexes north of Allied carriers. I believe Andy Mac was coming for a raid to the Alaska front.

Today was a mostly calm day in the air as my sweeps didnt fly , only highlit is the carrier strike at Midway

7 US Divisions supported by tanks , artillery and engineers landed at Pearl Harbor with a total of 4000 AV and minimal casualties , facing us 4 IJA divisions with a total of 1200 AV. Battleship and heavy bombers are pulverizing Pearl Harbor daily , hoping for a quick victory here.

Other fronts are mostly quiet and KB is stalking around near Aleutians , not sure what Andy is planning at north but i got a feeling we will see soon.

Allied troops broke through thinly spread Japanese beach defenses and stormed the island , rapidly capturing all vital facilities. Japanese troops are stuck in the interior , mop up operations have started. Engineers will need to rebuild all the port facilies and airfields , everything is destroyed by the daily Battleship bombardements.

Airfield and Port were repaired in 3 days , now working on getting repair yard to 100 again. Its gonna take about 70 days but i am really happy to have a proper yard now , i had so many damaged ships

3 full fighter squadrons arrived at East Coast , filled with prototype P-47D's(75 total). They will be heading to Burma front for combat testing and evaluation.

Operation Dionysus is starting , an airlift operation that will be close to scale of Berlin Airlift. Every plane capable of carrying supply is heading to India-Burma front to supply the army in Northern Burma. We need about 100k supply per month so 4k supply per day is the goal. I havent done the math yet but i believe its achieveable with amount of bombers , patrol and transport planes Allies have.

After a break to R&R squadrons in India , offensive operations started again. Allied long range fighters swept Bassein (NW of Rangoon) to find if there was any bleeding CAP from patrol and answer was yes. Got a positive exchange rate of aircraft but we probably lost more elite pilots than IJ so its a minor victory.

Pearl Harbor is fully operational , i dont know if i should fully clear the remaining IJA divisions or keep them prisoned on the island so they dont respawn.

Midway has been captured since i last posted , there wasnt a lot of resistance Atoll was held by couple SNLF units.

This turn Andy Mac tried to attack airfield and ships at Chittagong with a massive sweep followed by bombers , to my surprise CAP held very well and inflicted massive damage to sweepers.

I have decided to clear out Pearl Harbor completely , attacks to completely destroy isolated Japanese units started.

Status: offline 		You know, with all of the extra ships that I see, the Labour part of the Great Depression never occurred because of the the work on the ships, starting from mining the ore. So it was just a financial bubble that burst with little to no affect on those who were not speculating.

Operation Cerberus ; Operation to gain air superiority in Burma front has launched , resulting with over 1000 Japanese planes destroyed in 2 days.
Japanese Airforce have been keeping above 1000 fighters, 600 bombers at Rangoon for a long time. Before the attack on Rangoon pressure was applied to Mandalay area to force Japan move some fighters away from base , after a few days of attacks 600 Fighters moved into Mandalay area. Leaving Rangoon in acceptable number of fighters for operation.

Operation required Akyab to be turned into an AA Fortress due to no rail access to other bases , if operation fails and Akyab airfields get hit by enemy bombers a lot of planes would be lost on the ground as happened in February 1943.

Most of the AA units and base forces with good flak batteries in theater moved to Akyab in advance , supply has been built up by sneaking convoys in at night.

On Jun 12th Combined Allied airforce moved in , as its not guaranteed planes would fly the same day they are transfered in , backup bombers at Ledo and Calcutta also were ordered to attack Rangoon. As i guessed Airforce at Akyab didnt fly at 12th but to my surprise Rangoon didnt have any fighters on cap , bombers had a field day with close to 300 planes destroyed on the ground.

On Jun 13th supply requirement at Akyab skyrocketed above my expectations and left base with a yellow exlamation mark above it , this meant fighters that needed drop tanks were not going to make it to Rangoon but operation carried on with fighters that had enough range. As expected Japan had a pretty strong cap and sweeps didnt clear them all. A lot of allied bombers were lost but they achieved results.

Status: offline 		Are supply production levels (and air support for that matter) the same for this mod as Babes or Stock? Given the much higher aircraft availably that seems to exist in this game I imagine the extra supply/support will be needed.

Status: offline 		That show that Rangoon was grossly over stacked with aircraft because of the extremely high ground loses when you bombed the air base there.

Sorry wolf didnt see your question there , yeah supply is increased in this mod and there is a lot more industry/oil/refineries at important points.

It was a level 9 airfield as far i know overstacking isnt issue in those but performance of my bombers surprised me too
