Impulse #2 (Allies)

No declarations of war.

Land: France, China
Combined: USA, USSR, CW
Naval:

No port strikes.

Naval Air:
CW:
FTR2 (Southampton) -> North Sea 3-box

Naval Movement:

USA:
2 BB (Norfolk) -> East Coast 0-box

CW:
BB (Liverpool) -> North Sea 0-box
TRS + BB + CA (Gibraltar) -> North Sea 0-box - TRS load London MIL from London.

CW decline to initiate any naval combats.

Will Germany search in the North Sea. And, if so, will they reinforce the sea area with any additional air?

CW reinforces the sea area with a 5 strength FTR2 from London.

I thought that the order the sides reinforced the sea area with aircraft was reversed in the opponents naval search. I was wrong. So I just want to confirm that there is no additional Axis aircraft to the North Sea.

The FTR3 reach the 1-box, and the other two reach the 0-box.

Both sides find. (Axis 1, Allies 3)

How will Germany proceed?

I beleive Naval Air is the only option

Axis should have 3 points to spend, an A2A column shift costs 2 ....

Reducing Allies from +3 to +2 A2A would have no impact as it is the same column. In which case Increase Axis from -3 to -2 which is an actual column improvement.

Axis will stay through A2A and if Survives will stay in Sea Area

It could become surface combat if both sides declined naval air. And that means no combat (this round) and new search rolls. CW wouldn't have liked that so naval air was a pretty safe bet.

(When I posted the picture I hadn't considered the new search rolls part yet so I actually considered if I wanted it to go to surface combat)

xxxx

Just wanted to check if you remember that if you abort from an air to air combat at sea you abort back to the sea box when you stated that the bomber will stay to the end.

Actually thanks for the reminder on that, Axis will abort to the Sea Area at first available if survives.

Will stay for new searches.
