Actually I was pleasantly surprised to find this thread here, with the game having been released only for a couple of weeks... So apparently there still is an audience that welcomes my efforts. I haven't checked the forums in years, as my daytime job well and truly got in the way, which also ended my active contribution to WitE2 development. Having changed jobs since, finding WitE2 released I kind of found the modding bug kicking in once again, especially as a lot of the original work for WitE could be reused. As to the actual imagery itself it's definitely a design choice, and I wouldn't be surprised if it is due to possible copyright infringement and/or laws preventing Nazi symbols being used. I even offered to incorporate my original WitE imagery into WitE2, but it was turned down. The biggest shame of that design choice, methinks, is that it negates a lot of the research that went into finding the imagery for the official game. The imagery itself might be highly blurred, the accuracy of the imagery is of a really high standard. And that's coming from someone who is actively trying to find matching imagery, with a high standard as well.
