Status: offline 		Got the game last week. Why doesn't anything happen when I click on Game Manual before hitting play?

The Menu put up by the Autorun.exe shortcut is outdated - the links generally do not work.
There will be a .pdf file for the manual in your game folders. Find where the game is installed, right click on the .pdf and choose "Make Shortcut". Drag that shortcut to your Desktop to have a link directly to the manual.

If you haven't already done so, do the same to make a shortcut for the game file war_in_the_pacific_admiral_edition. The game installed shortcut if for the Autorun.exe menu and that one does not work with the switches you need to make the game run properly.
