I think a big user friendly change would be to add a rol1 for the final phase of the planet generation - the Dissolution Pase Roll, or the roll after the colonization phase.

As it currently stands if you dont like the results of the Dissolution Phase Roll, you have to go back to the planet generation. On Huge Planets this can take about 5-7mins to go thru all the rolls if you are targeting a specific type setup.

It plays a big factor if your trying to ensure spread out majors in a game (especially multi-player) as the the dissolution phase is the where you can actually chk to the final map to ensure your happy with the spread of Major Regimes...

Yes I agree with this.

Indeed, it would be good to allow the user a random roll or to be able to set parameters to specific values at his/her option.

I third this recommendation by GazBot.
To Vic, the above supporters (& me) of this recommendation are in the process of starting our 4th PBEM game.
This game & this group (1 more) has made 2020 a little less...depressing.

I totally agree as well. It is a marked difference that the Dissolution war is not rerollable to begin with.

I can think of the reasons why and the hurdles to fix those. And while I agree they are bigger then they should be, I think it will be a worthwhile investment.
