Known as "Oware" in Ghana and "Ayoayo" in Nigeria, the game requires 48 seeds, dubbed "nickars", found on the local guillandria bush. Each player controls six hollows on his side of the board and turns are taken moving the counters between the holes with the aim of capturing 25 of the opponent's.

A farmer in Belgium has raised eyebrows after inadvertently redrawing the country's border with France.
The border between France and Belgium, which stretches 620km (390 miles), was established under the Treaty of Kortrijk, signed in 1820 after Napoleon's defeat at Waterloo five years earlier. It was marked out by stone borders which have remained in place ever since.

These are neat links! Thank you. I feel compassion for the surfer, that's a tough thing to go through.

Some people playing that game should only receive three pieces.

That Belgium farmer is lucky that the border was not mined at one point, I know of one border that was mined.

At least the sign war has had nobody hurt - yet.

I would rather have the leg than the tooth.

It's got to be pretty weird knowing a shark ate your leg you had for many years. Dang great whites!

He'll return the tooth when the shark returns his leg.

Turns out Wari (or Awari or Owari), is on Steam https://store.steampowered.com/app/547140/Owari/

It was proved to be a forced draw in 2002 by a brute force analysis of all 889,063,398,406 positions that can possibly occur. 'The database requires 778 GB stored on disk and was generated using parallel retrograde analysis with a cluster of 72 dual PIII @ 1 GHz with 1 GB of main memory each, connected through Myrinet, which took 51 hours.' https://www.chessprogramming.org/Awari
