Hi, new player here & enjoying my first game against the Allied AI so far.

I was about to take Greece with a combined German/Italian force. I captured Athens with an Italian unit, and Greece became occupied by Italy.

Then I thought that I should have used a German unit rather than an Italian one, because the 1% bonus from the strategic resource would benefit Germany's economy more than Italy's.

So...
- Will occupying Athens with a German unit give Greece to Germany instead?
- Am I right in thinking that the 1% bonus will yield more production in German hands, or is that not how production works?

Thanks!

Control doesn't change after 1 nation occupies a capital
And yes the strategic resource will benefit Germany more.

Glad you are enjoying the game. If you got it through a Steam key please leave an honest review as it helps ratings to help me have more traffic and make more games.

If you have any questions just ask. Either I will answer or one of the other players.

The one REALLY bad thing with occupying any hex with Italy is that when they surrender...the hex becomes UK...Even all the ones in Russia. This can cut all your rail lines.

It is wrong...but they way it is. I try to to not let Italy move into any hex before a German unit does if I can. Sometimes I can't and that can create a BAD scenario if and when they surrender.

The UK getting hexes in Russia is wrong on so many levels.....
