Haven't noticed this posted yet just released yesterday I think An Laoch Ri - The Warrior King 'Then it was, that the magnanimous Arthur, with all the kings and military force of Britain, fought against the Saxons. And though there were many more noble than himself, yet he was twelve times chosen their commander, and was as often conqueror.' - Nennius The legend and tales of Arthur are legion, and have existed for over a thousand years in many forms and variations. After all, who among us doesn't know of Camelot, the Knights of the Round Table, Merlin and Excalibur? But in contrast to these stories, the 'Historical' Arthur was more likely a cunning and fiercely patriotic Dark Ages Warlord, who fought for Briton against Saxon expansion sometime during the mid to late 5th Century. At this time, about 100 years after Rome abandoned Briton, the land was open to internal strife and invasion from outside forces. One Warlord, in particular, stood above the rest, and he gave the Saxons a terrible time in battle. So much so, that he was named the Dux Bellorum or 'Battle Leader' of the Britons. His single-handed achievements on the battlefield galvanized the Britons into a formidable foe, and ultimately set back Saxon expansion for generations. Meet Arthur of An Laoch Ri, The Warrior King.
