First, multicolored unit counters. Like the half-black, half-grey SS divisions, but the secondary color being the subordinate HQ for whatever determines unit color (so army for Soviets, corps for Axis). This would improve readability tremendously. It doesn't necessarily have to be a diagonal sash, just a little square on the bottom left or right would help tremendously.

Second, please please don't put soft factor display on the same side as fort levels. I constantly have to keep disabling fort level display so I can see soft factors. Alternatively make the soft factors bigger so I can see them behind the forts.

Third, a huge amount of the admin is assigning and reassigning units to HQs. Please give us some sort of keyboard shortcut (like we have for air units), such as holding ctrl and alt or something then clicking on the desired HQ. This would vastly speed up some turns where major reorg is needed, because the g key is traitorous. Which reminds me:

Fourth, If no following moves are made, please let us undo unit reassignments, I have cursed out generations when I thought I was safe to use the g key to reassign a division only to have it go to some unseen HQ. There is no advantage or unfair play possible from simply undoing an assignment and it is very easy to this by accident.

Fifth, have more highlighting options when divisions are selected. For example, when I select a division, have other divisions that belong to the same army but not the same corps be highlighted as well but most of all when I select an army, have units that belong to subordinate corps be highlighted in a different color (yes this is a short-lived soviets 41 issue, but readability is a mess in those early turns).

Sixth, have some color coding on air missions (like you already have a green band) to give some sort of risk factor estimation, so the hexes in the square where the mission would be flown would change color to indicate expected ops losses (day/night + weather + distance).

Seventh, allow us to set HQ units on refit on map, right now you need to send them to the National Reserve if you want to get your armies in fighting shape as the Soviets.

Eighth, not a UI issue but allow soviets to disband the starting AT brigades that are slated for disbanding on turn 32 anyway.

they also refit automatically if in good supply, so placed on map on a well resourced depot.

the problem in 1941 is a lack of suitable assets as much as anything else
