T08 Cleanup:

I go through the Axis Reserves and set some of the units on REFIT. The LW Light Flak units are not coming up to TOE very fast so only a single one is placed on REFIT. There are just not enough light flak guns being produced. I fly supplies to Orsha, Gdov, and Nadlymanske.

Do you feel your on current schedule with your drive across the whole front.

Just like to ask have attached the AG rail repair units to individual Armee's and is this best way to go as I have mine still attached to the Army Groups.

Or are these separate units ?

I feel that I am about right historically in most areas but I always feel like I am behind in 41. I attach the FBD units to the PGs for administrative and leadership checks because this helps in maintaining the units at good supply levels and such. The RAD labor units are attached to army or corps level HQs to better control where they are repairing the rails.

T09 OOB:

The Soviets are back up to 3.2M again. Time to buckle down and start to decrease them faster. I need more pockets.

T09 Ground Losses:

I only caused 71K losses last turn. This is the source of my problems. I have to get more active on this.

T09 Air Losses:

Another 128 Soviet aircraft lost on the ground. I lost a lot of level bombers last turn - obviously the Ground Support went beyond the fighter screen. I have control over whether or not the Ground Support is on but I have not used that power as of yet.

T09 Production:

Ammo and fuel are still good but supplies are down. The Repair Pool is at 51K, an increase of 4.5K. It is nice to see the Axis Generic Pool increasing up to 122K. These will come handy in Jan 42 to replace the support troops and free up manpower for the rest of the army.

T09 Soviet Attacks:

There were 10 attacks by the Soviets last turn resulting in 1 Rout, 1 Retreat, and 8 Holds. All of the attacks were against AGC. There is also a Soviet breakthrough against the 4th Army.

T09 Freight:

This is still looking good with +6K. Most of 4th PG is isolated so that is why the PG has a bad looking freight situation.

T09 Trucks:

The unit truck used is down another 7K to 38K - however the 4th PG is probably the source of that change.

T09 Supply Net North:

A few very long supply routes but overall it is looking pretty good. Things should improve as the rail net improves. Warsaw is at priority 4 but has less than 13K freight so I leave it at 4.

T09 Supply Net South:

Way too many long routes down here. Things should improve with the capture of Odessa but the southern forces are definitely stretching thin. Lvov has almost 28K freight so I reduce the priority to 1.

XI Corps eliminates the northern pocket and advances to the Soviet defensive line. XXXIV Corps punches a hole in the Soviet line at Dobrovelichavka.

XXXXIX Mtn Corps punches a hole in the line. IV Corps takes the hole that XXXXIX Mtn Corps opened and busts it open even further in the Zvenigorodka area. LII Corps works with XXIX Corps (1st PG) to capture Mironovka.

T09 AGN 18th Army:

L Corps cuts through the enemy territory and starts to help pocket the Soviet defensive line on the eastern bank of the Narva River. XXXVIII and I Corps build the western wall of the pocket. XXVI Corps is the army reserve near Tallinn.

(*NO PIC*)

T09 AGN 4th PG:

The PG comes one hex short of trapping the Soviets to the west of the Narva River. But the forces are controlling the eastern bank and have out flanked the Soviet defenders.

LVII Mot Corps is able to breakthrough the Soviet lines just south of Prechistoe. XXXIX Mot Corps is able to breakthrough to the south and pocket a Soviet Corps.

T09 AGC 2nd PG:

The majority of the 2nd PG was involved in the fighting (both defensive and offensive) for Smolensk but the XII Corps is able to open a hole near Pochinok and XXXVI Mot Corps is committed from the PG reserve to exploit the hole cutting to the north and capturing Yelnya, Dorogobuzh, and Durova. Some reshifting of other panzer units is able to form a pocket around the central Soviet line on the Smolensk - Vyazma rail line. It will probably be broken, but these units will be hard pressed to totally escape without a major influx of combat units by the AI. If you notice that last turn this was a heavily defended area by the AI with many three division stacks defending everywhere but my moves with 4th PG breaking through north of Pskov drew the Soviet forces there for containment and this area was stretched thinner. This turn I make my threat here so troops will be coming to this area to defend the Moscow approaches and hopefully lessen the defenses near Leningrad.

T09 AGS 1st PG:

As I mentioned earlier I needed more pockets. Any time you have an infantry army able to blow out a three hex wide hole in the enemy defenses and you have panzers nearby you will get pockets and a deep advance. The 1st PG is able to open up a deep penetration and form two solid pockets of 13+ Soviet divisions and the Western Front HQ. 11th Army and the two infantry corps attached to the 1st PG are in excellent position to wipe out these two pockets next turn.

The Rumanian FBD continues southeast and builds a new depot in Rudnitsa. The 1 PG FBD puts Zihtomir on the rail net with its level 2 railyard.

T09 AGC Rail:

The 2nd PG FBD continues to work its way north on the double rail on the western bank of the Dnepr and builds a new depot in Mogilev. The 3rd PG FBD connects the double rail from Minsk to Orsha and starts to continue on to Smolensk.

T09 AGN Rail:

The 4th PG FBD bounces back to Pskov and starts to repair the single rail heading along the eastern shores of Lake Pskov, building a new depot in Seredka. This line makes more sense now that most of the line is captured.

I send a Wefer and a Stug bn out of the reserves. The Flak units are not being built up fast enough - the light and medium flak equipment is the limitation. I fly supplies to Gdov, Smolensk, and Nadlymanske.
