One question regarding Convoy escort advancement.

Right now, I can search Convoy escort advancement for UK, USA and USSR.

Do I need to search it for all three countries?
Does the game know that this escort is from USA and thus has this advancement level?
Does it count in the combat results?

Does convoy escort advancement only affect surface ships with this technology, or also the escorts that are assigned to convoys?

Only units that have that advancement in their name. All advancements only affect units build with that name. Escorts are an exception as they are not on map. So Convoy escorts will affect off-map escorts and ships build with the "convoy escort advancement", but not other ships.

convoy escorts are only vs subs. in WPP the sea and air anti-sub tech have been merged.
