Turn 18. Jul/Aug 1942. War Logs Summary.

Notes:
(1) 12 theaters are currently configured; however, only 11 of the 12 are combat theaters. That is, N/A is not.
(2) A total of 143 events were logged, of which 120 (84%) were combat events. This turn saw the most combat events logged so far this game.
(3) 9 of the 11, or 82%, of all combat theaters saw action (i.e., at least 1 combat).
(4) The most active theater was the Eastern Front which saw almost 40% (i.e., 47/120) of all the combat logged.
(5) Japan was also very active with a total of 35 events, of which 34 (97%) were combat events, logged across 4 theaters (Asian, CBI, Pacific & East African). Japan was involved in 28% of all combat events logged this turn.

(1) Global event #996, in which we agreed to update to MWiF version 4.4.0 (debug), was not at the start of the turn but happened at the beginning of axis impulse #7.
(2) The axis wanted to move first and had to request a re-roll to win the initiative.

(1) Unbelievable! The Japanese player again "rolls" low on a critical land combat this turn.
(2) This time, the CCP holds Lanchow in a combat in which Japan had a 87% chance of taking the city.

(1) A tactical mistake by the Soviet player I dare say costs them Mao.
(2) Maybe he was caught up in the win of the last land combat in which he held onto Lanchow.
(3) Or maybe, he just didn't think this land combat through fully.
(4) If fought on the blitz with these "rolls" Mao would have survived and forced to retreat. Japan would not have lost a unit and would have seen 2 of the 4 surviving attackers flipped vs all. All of this irrelevant because ...
(5) The Soviet player elected to fight this combat on the assault table and not the blitz.
