I bought WitE2 for my birthday six days ago. I have been living in a nightmare ever since.

Eric, I followed the suggestions on adjusting the resolution of my monitor and adjusting scaling. I played through the tutorial scenario yesterday. Unfortunately, the tweaking I did to be able to run this game appears to be preventing me from playing my favorite game.

After changing the monitor back to defaults I now cannot play WITPAE. Every attempt to launch AE with a customized game resolution setting from both my DBB and Focus Pacific game folders results in the monitor adjusting the resolution and NOT displaying the game, but rather the desktop. The game loads and is running as can be seen by the icon in the task bar in the attached screen shot. Nothing I try gets the game to display. I have to use Task Manager to shut it down.

I have created multiple new short cuts trying to find a fix with no joy. I tried removing my custom resolution setting and the launch gives the same results with the game attempting to switch to its default resolution.

Since I got this problem by following the advice of the Matrix staff I fully expect them to provide a solution.

I now CANNOT PLAY the only game that matters to me.

Apols - not sure is this a tech problem with WiT Pacific or WiTE2?

Its a problem with WITPAE that was caused by following the instructions regarding tweaks to make WITE2 playable.

You might want to see it as a possible heads up regarding the potential side effects of what the Matrix staff is recommending people do in order to make WITE2 playable.

It isn't much good to me to make WITE2 playable if it makes WITPAE unplayable.

I hope you can see my point.
