Did anybody notice this gigantic change?

Not too long ago, I read many people writing that to have a good game without a mod, Japan MUST play scenario 2. Playing scenario 1 would lead to Japan being too weak and not a good game over all.

That was the prevailing opinion.

Now I am reading AAR's with players playing scenario 1 and winning game after game.

Nothing to do with the "meta".

Quite a lot to do with players not being matched in terms of experience.

+1 And some players quit because they could not accept that they made major mistakes that botched their chances and would not accept advice on how to fix things. Come to the game with humility and expect to learn new things constantly and it can be a life-long pursuit.

Some players quit because the other player does things that are "unacceptable" to them or "unrealistic" when this is just a game and not a historical simulation. They may also complain about the other player using "tricks and game exploits" when there are counter measures that they could have undertaken to limit these or even to take advantage of them.

I think it might be a gigantic change for you specifically. Because really there was no that kind of prevailing opinion. And now you've caught up.

I for one, have never heard any of this, but then again maybe I missed something.
