My feeling is that the game can be played at current version but needs some house rules to take the India, Australia and Convoy problems out of the game until an update can address them.

I recommend these:

1. No Japanese amphibious landings in India and Ceylon. Results are to decisive.
2. No Japanese amphibious landings in Australia and New Zealand. Also, can be decisive game enders.
3. No use of CV's on Convoy Routes. They are overpowered. CVL's can do enough damage.

This should channel the fighting into the Burma area and South Pacific.
Expect to see a stronger forces deployed against the Chinese since they become the strategic objective with all there VP hexes.

But you will probably get a game that more resembles WW II in the Pacific.

If the Axis do not kill India and/or AUS is it possible for them to win? Allied production is bonkers.

I won a game where India and AUS were alive, but I killed a bunch of carriers, and he was stalled out in India.
