Actually, I have a number of questions about what individual scripts do, but I thought I would ask them one at a time.

I'm starting a new game as the UK and went through the scripts to cancel lend-lease etc. (what a chore). Under Scripts:Units I see..

Allied AI USA - Liberate UK HQ - Portland 1940 (DE1)

I Have no idea what this script does. Why would a UK HQ be in Portland and what does liberate mean?

Other scripts under Scripts:Units include..

Liberate UK destroyers - Norfolk.
Liberate UK support - Boston.

And the same for N York.

Same questions. Why would these UK units be there in the first place and what does liberate mean? Also, what is UK Support?

As I have no idea what these scripts do I de-select them, but if anyone can explain what they actually do it would be appreciated.

They'll be deployed to help the AI liberate the UK if it has fallen to the Axis.

They're all triggered by dummy DE 1 which is for the Allied AI to attempt to liberate the UK.

OK,

Well that explains those, but the scripts are badly worded and make no sense. Could the script details be updated (or have an explanation option)?

eg, Liberate UK destroyers - Norfolk. Made no sense to me. From your explanation (if I'm right) it should be Help in UK liberation if UK is occupied by Axis.

My second question about scripts is repetition. I will use scripts/partisans as an example but duplicate entries appear everywhere.

Under scripts/partisans there are multiple scripts with identical descriptions.

For eg, there are 4 separate scripts with the same title - 'Partisan Activity in Australia'. Why are there 4 identical entries? WTF do they mean?

Then we have the 6 identical 'Partisan Activity in India' scripts - I could go on for other countries but will leave it there.

Why do so many scripts say the same thing?

In the case of the party animal scripts (a term a friend came up with for them, so blame him ), they either allow for more than 1 partisan to show up per turn, and/or provide different (more) spawn points as the game goes on. I do agree that they need to be a bit more specific.

For the AI scripts, the titles were written mostly for me and have only recently been accessible in game via the Advanced options settings. I can definitely see how having them titled differently could be helpful, but it is doubtful at this point that they will be changed, unfortunately.
