What is the cost in action points for amphibious transports (incl. LR) to shore bombard? I usually avoid attacking with either type because I�m not 100% sure if they will subsequently be able to land the ground unit (or get out of the way). Where in the rules is this explained? Also how many action points do naval units consume when attacking. 1/2 of the unit�s remaining action points rounded up is my best guess, but I'm pretty sure that's not the case Amphibious or Amph/LR units. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi

All naval units, and this includes both types of Amphibious Transport, that engage in combat will have their remaining action points halved, with any fraction being rounded down.

This is referenced in the Manual in 6.6.6.1 although it doesn't specifically mention Amphibious Transports, as the statement is about naval units in general.
