ORIGINAL: Erik Rutins Wow, very glad that you and your mother-in-law are safe. Did they manage to get the fire under control before it consumed your apartment? Yes, very lucky though. If my window wasnt open, there no telling. Probably about another minute or two, my place wouldnt be there if i havent gotten out in time. She okay, but she fell and got really bad black bruises on her bad and side. So the her doctor said "No, shouldnt be living on second floor!" Right now we getting out things into storage and hang out at the inn, the red cross and insurance will cover the cost until December. Hopefully we will find something by early December. 12-16 lost their homes, belongings, etc. Few were really pissed off. But only four apartments survive (included mine). They are willing to stay there except us. quote:
ORIGINAL: OldSarge Yikes! I hope they were able to contain it before it hit your apartment, that you didn't lose everything especially your pets! That officer and few locals did go up there got my pets, everything is good now. Just that our stuffs cover with smoke and food went bad in the frigs. I'm glad to hear that you and your family are safe and that you didn't lose everything! Hopefully, those that lost everything will be able to get the help they'll need to get back on their feet. I wish you the best of luck in getting things back to normal!
