Last Saturday morning around 10:50am, i was messing around on Wurm Online and i noticed i smell smokes in the den and looked around and by the time i got to the next room see alot of dense smoke outside. So went out on the back on the second floor and look around with better view, the smokes was so bad on the other side. Grab the slippers and went outside around the building, noticed a guy trying to put out a fire with a small cooking pot. He got most of it outside of his glass sliding door, i can tell the fires manage to reaches to the second floor and building up some flames there.

So i told him, that not going to work and also told him did you call 911? Idk if he is mental or what and i looked around there is no garden hoses so i ran to the office. I couldnt hear, no point trying to grab a phone, etc.

By the time i arrive the office, only see on guy at the desk and not making eye contact with me while on the phone. I stand around long enough and yell FIRE!!! lol, finally got them attention. So this guy and two ladies came out of the building. Funny thing is that you can see the flames through the windows on East side looking out from the office and no one was paying attention. Have no ideas how long this was going on.

By the time first fire fighter or engine showed up, the flames already starting to pick up all over the second floor into the attic. Then i headed back to get mother in law out of the building and grab some important things. The sad parts by the time officers showed up and few locals, after leading mother out of the building from second floor (i live on the second floor), needed to head back up to grab my two pet lizards and the officer wouldnt let me through and i was pissed.

Idk how long this gone on for, so much confusing there and didnt take long for the fires get completely out of control!

Here one of those video someone took at Twin Lakes Apartments...

Wow, very glad that you and your mother-in-law are safe. Did they manage to get the fire under control before it consumed your apartment?

Yikes! I hope they were able to contain it before it hit your apartment, that you didn't lose everything especially your pets!

Yes, very lucky though. If my window wasnt open, there no telling. Probably about another minute or two, my place wouldnt be there if i havent gotten out in time.

She okay, but she fell and got really bad black bruises on her bad and side. So the her doctor said "No, shouldnt be living on second floor!"

Right now we getting out things into storage and hang out at the inn, the red cross and insurance will cover the cost until December. Hopefully we will find something by early December. 12-16 lost their homes, belongings, etc. Few were really pissed off. But only four apartments survive (included mine). They are willing to stay there except us.

I am sorry for your financial losses but you and yours are alive and should be fine except the the stress and bruises. The bruises should heal, tell her that I wish her well.

I'm glad to hear that you and your family are safe and that you didn't lose everything! Hopefully, those that lost everything will be able to get the help they'll need to get back on their feet.

I wish you the best of luck in getting things back to normal!

So glad to hear that everyone's ok and it sounds like your set with the temporary housing, as inconvenient as it can be. Early or mid- December seems reasonable for finding a new place. Sounds like your Mom will be safer and better off in a first floor unit anyway, so I hope todays bad events will in the end lead to a better tomorrow for both of you.
