Hey Guys,

i am sorry for my coming offensive Language but i am really p.ssed right now...
I am playing the "Bombing The Reich 1943 Campaign" as the Allies and i have CONSTANTLY Bad Weather, 4-7 Days, then comes a good Weather Day and then its the same again! I lost 90 Bombers in the last Mission to the ME-Factory for NOTHING, because these F.CKIN CLOUDS were over the Target and they didnt bomb anything! Can I remove the Cloud-Mechanic? Is that possible?

GOOD WEATHER EVERY DAY!!!!

Sorry for offense.

Majo

In 1943 you can still bomb through clouds with some effect if you stay within range of oboe and gee, and much better when you finally start getting fitted with H2S and H2X.

You can tell you are in range if the nav devices show up when you select the planes for the raids.

Otherwise, yes clouds were a real problem with the strategic bombing campaign.

But you are talking about Night Bombing right?
I have Problems with the Daytime Bombing..Maybe i should use the Pathfinder Squadrons for Leading the Pack?

I'm taking about day bombing. Definitely pathfinders with H2S or H2x should be leading the pack on cloudy days. The rest of the raid will follow.

And a tip with night bombing is sending the mossies in first to light some fires at the target a few minutes before the bombers get there helps with finding the target on clear days.

Bombing at night
Dont make massive raids, create 3-4 smaller raids set to follow, you may find that 2-3 of them find a gap.
I like to assemble raids by Group, if morale is good 2 raids set to follow.
Also, using BC to hit a factory is always fraught with disappointment.

Daytime bombing
Always set a secondary target.
lead Group should be Best experience, Best Morale Pathfinder Group.
Set the initial point on a terrain feature if you can, a river or coastline.
Cross your fingers, and toes.
