I would like to combine this game with Total War Napoléon as the tactical layer. To try this I have 2 basic questions:

How many players can participate in a multiplayer Empires in Arms game? (If it's only 2 that won't work for me.)

Is there any way to 'resolve' a single battle manually in Empires in Arms? (In other words take note of the force size of infantry, cavalry and cannon and build a Total War battle to approximate that, play it, and then inject the results in Empires in Arms.

Thanks for any answers or ideas.

Welcome. 2 quick answers:
1. EIA has 7 players, either human players or computer controlled.
2. Yes, there is third party combat resolution. When there is a battle, you can export a battle file that provides you force strengths. After you resolve the battle, you import the edited battle file with your results.
Enjoy!

Actually I have done that on experimental basis and it works fine. There is only the basis unit types in EIA but with a little historical insight in what the force composition might be it is doable. It is much more immersive than just have the program run the thing.
I expect to make some trials soon with The Napoleonic Battles series.

Good, I have started a new campaign today, already at war with Austria and Spain on turn one so the warmongers should be happy.
And it should soon give a opportunity to create a scenario in The Napoleonic Battles editor.
Will post as soon I'm within gunshot of the enemy about how I intend to recreate the battle. Any suggestions and help is very welcome.
