So, I took a flyer and bought the 'Goering stop eating and drinking for a minute & send me some troops' Card.

I got a unit, 2 categories equaling like 700 men, great. So, how does the distribution work?Do I import the men into the HQ so they will be portioned out ...or?

Yes. Move them to HG - HGB (fast). Or disband them (longer). And set replacements to PRIO for the units you wish to get them. They will go only to FJ by the way.

Could you translate your reply in to English please. I try to read every post because reading the manual (which i have) is very difficult to comprehend. I'm sure the person who wrote it understands every word because they have lived and breathed the game for months, but someone just parachuting in is going to have a rough go of it.

When I got the FJ troops, I just dropped them into the map and assigned them to the nearest division.

There are no REAL parachute units with airplanes in game
There are cards to use
One of them is FJ battalion
You can choose hex where to place it - "airborne" land them -;)
If you choose hex near main HQ unit, you can transfer them directly to HQ and send them as replacements to other FJ units
If you choose to use them as fighting unit as loustro, you can choose any hex you please

When I played the paratroop card the only hexes the game would let me put them on was so far behind my front lines that I don't think they will ever catch up. Might be something for the developer to consider adding or just take out the paratroops completely
