Curious as to what individuals apply speciality pts to axis units (likely armour) for early game ?

Elite ?
Other ?

Elite is a good all around. I also make sure to have infiltrators ready and (for mechs) Heavy artillery. But usually not more than "one per sector" since no more than one infiltrator and one artillery's are allowed per combat. I might use Anti-tank (good mostly for defense agatisant all units despite the name) but usually (for Germany anyway) later in the game for important defensive positions.

Same here. I usually go for elite with armour and infiltrators and heavy arty combinations for the infantry.
