When an airbase has been isolated the previous turn, it's not able to send freight to adjacent units in the next turn. See the air supply around Kiev in my game vs hadradi. I delivered 200 freight to airbases, but none of the adjacent units received any of it.

It could also be an issue with the units being isolated the previous turn instead of the airbase.

nevermind, it's definitely an issue with the isolated status of the hexes/airbase. I was able to deliver freight to previously isolated units once i had moved them out of the pocket.

Did the units receive the freight during the next execution phase? So you are saying that if the airbase is isolated, the freight is not immediately sent out to any units? But when not isolated, it will immediately send out the freight that was dropped?

I'm not sure if they receive it in the next phase, but I'm pretty sure they're not. I've seen this before where my isolated units don't get supply no matter how much I drop on them.

The air freight distribution routine in section 22.5 is not being followed in hexes that were isolated during the supply phase. When I mouse over the hex that received freight, it's not creating a temporary depot in the hex either.

It's not just isolated hexes, because I broke the pocket, then flew the air freight mission after that, and it still didn't work. It's working fine in all other hexes though.

I just did a test and saw that the freight to an isolated airbase did go into a temp depot that was set up. If you press the N key and rollover the hex, you should see that there is a temp depot in the airbase hex. It listed how much had been received, how much had been sent out and what was left. In my case the airbase unit snagged 40 tons of freight for ammunition. There was a unit next to the airbase that only was short supply, but it didn't get anything. So it's possible there is a problem having it get sent out to units in adjacent hexes immediately. I will need to ask Gary about this. But check the next time you send something and see if you see the info re the temp depot in the hex. Eventually, anything left in the temp depot should be able to be used in the logistics phase to resupply units in range.
