If I have missed some thread or detail in the game, mea culpa in advance.

The Ribbentrop-Molotov pact was also economic and enhanced trade began soon afterwards:

"The first pact was an economic trade agreement, which Ribbentrop and Molotov signed on August 19, 1939.

The agreement, which proved instrumental in helping Germany bypass the British blockade during the early years of World War II, committed the Soviet Union to provide food products and raw materials to Germany in exchange for products such as German machinery for the Soviet Union."

Soviet goods trains were rolling across the border right up until the morning of June 22nd 1941 and this surely included oil as well.

Is this modelled in the game as it stands? Perhaps it is built into German production and oil stats but I have not progressed far enough to ascertain this.

Yes I believe there is a USSR convoy to Germany until they go to war.

Yes there it is--10 oil per turn to Germany in Baltic convoys. I was expecting a rail link, and much more production, but this seems fine. Thanks.

I believe that a rail link might have been too hard to do since there is no rail conection at the start of the game when trade does start and rail can not go through neutrals even for ressources. So the naval link is probably there for pratical reasons.

Maybe it does actually switch to rail link when possible latter in 1939?
