It's quite challenging trying to find the real world locations of scenarios/battles using google earth. Is there a guide of any sort that I've missed, pointing out the locations, or grid refs? Thanks.

If you look up your item of interest on Wikipedia, quite often there will be a lat/long link
highlighted. If you click on it, another page will open that gives you multiple viewer choices
that you can pick from. Picking your choice will open a view on or very close to that lat/long.

Yes, thanks, I've been doing that. Not always an entry in wikipedia or elsewhere with the co-ordinates, though. There's no document in game that I've missed?

The majority of the battles are from the master maps including in the Scenarios/master maps folder.

You can open up those maps to triangulate where on google earth the locations are.

Otherwise, no, there isn't a document that lists the battle location by province.

You can open the master maps using the map editor, and then going into the master map folder to access them.

Can I suggest-

https://www.amazon.com/Where-Were-Vietnam-Comprehensive-Firebases-ebook/dp/B004YV80M6

Buy the book, dont get the kindle version, Kindle maps are an abomination and affront to god;)

In conjunction with coordinates you find in the book, you wont always have a map, you can find many here at the site below, where in you can drill down further;

You can see the DMZ master map in the master maps folder.

There is also a series of maps in the manual that show you were the battle locations are in relation to Vietnam.

I believe they are in Section 9.0 along with the scenario briefings.
