Might as well post here...I'm currently playing the 10th battle in the Russian Steel...and there are some issues that'd need fixing...nothing too serious but.. In 7th battle there are bunch of invisible buildings west from the German repair camp area. 8th battle has some odd terrain features here and there..like road and rough in same hex, or swamp+shallow water combo..might be intentional though. And in the 10th battle you'll get to play with a KV-2 'Behemoth'..name is very proper as the tank is equipped with 152mm gun, TWO 76mm guns and a M-13 rocket launcher Again, this of course may be intentional. That said, my own Laag-3s have been effective, though one's been shot down.

Onto battle 3:

Escape at Slonim. (June 27, 1941).

In this one, the initial front's breaking down, and your command is ordered out. You have to make a run south, over a pair of fords, while fighting a rear guard action against vastly superior forces.

Even though I just pulled a draw :) More than that is hard in any 'run away!' scen :)

All my core got out, except the FO. So, overall, I consider that good :)

We lost 325 men, 6 varied arty bits, 2 trucks, and 9 AFV's. They took 2 of my men prisoner.

We killed 696 men, knocked out 9 panzers, and 2 scout cars. We also took 24 Pow's (33 on the campaign.)

My core is fully infantry upgraded, so that I have 2 companies of 3 Platoons. Company command squads are SMG squads, Platoon command squads are Paratroop squads, the rest are engineers with flame and satchel. Unless engineers armament changes down the road, my infantry is set.

We've also upgraded the FO to a motorized one, and 2 of the 107 mortars are now 120s (bigger and more ammo! Whoo!)

Next will be the other mortars, then the tanks :)
