Hi the number in () is damaged the xnumber is working so (1)x1 manpower means 2 total 1 working 1 damaged. Each damaged point costs 1k supply to repair and takes 1 day. So since 439 oil are damaged and that is the most damaged item it will require 439 days the total supply is the total of all damage combined.

I bombed Wake to prep it for my landing forces.

Taking a at the first turn, the losses at Clark Field and Pearl, considering the planes destroyed on the ground, are quite high. Does that have to do with the first turn surprise rules?

Hi You think the Pearl Harbor aircraft destroyed was high? The combat report with FOW lists 192 aircraft destroyed. In actual attack 188 aircraft were destroyed. Surprise limits the AA fire in AM phase, number of fighters on CAP and prevents Allied strikes in AM. In PM everything is back to normal.

Against Clark Field I have a larger then historic strike I believe but still don't think the strike does that much more damage then actual. But the reasons are not historical. The PI airforce did get off the ground and flew for hours before returing just in time to be caught on the ground. They were not wing tip to wing tip like at PH.

Great - thanks.

So is repair of resources/oil automatic if you have enough supplies? Or do you have to have troops of some sort there?

Thanks again -

I just haven't have this much of success in UV by attacking PM, for example. But on the other hand, there were less planes around

Hi, Bombing airfields is much more productive in WITP. Esp against airfields with a lot of aircraft on ground.

No change to our test pilots after one day of watching
USN CA TF that could only be from PH made contact with IJN TF of tankers in open ocean 300 miles from Marcus Island (and 300 miles from present location of 6xIJN CV) Strange place for them to be. The Japanese TF was the replenshment group from the PH strike. It had moved and unloaded at Kwajalean and is returning to Japan. The TF escort took a beating but protected the tankers from great damage.

What about Bataan. The Allies keep bombarding you. You seem to have a 2-1 advantage there. I don't see any japanese attacks though. otherwise, very interesting AAR indeed.
Thanks for the work of posting it!!

What is your supply situation like at this point (mid-Jan 42)? Are you running into any contraints on your operations?

How much of your supply is being used up in China? If you only went after Hong Kong and stayed on the defensive against the Chinese would that give you more supply and/or whatever the equivalent of "preparation points" are in this game for use in other theaters?

Thanks -

Dave Baranyi

Hi, The China operations are not eating PP. Supply is a concern because at the start of the war so much demand exists. I think I'm getting near the point where it will begin to ease a bit. (That and the first convoys are loading resource and oil to bring to Japan) I sent a lot of troops into PI.
(The entire 14th and 16th Army's)
