What kind of scenarios will WitP have?

In addition to those listed on the website, here's what I've gleaned from reading the AARs:

1. There is a "full war" scenario, 1941-1946 (an old GG quote from last year points out that no matter how many scenarios are in the game, everyone will always play the full campaign -- I know that's true for me)

2. There is a late war scenario beginning some time in 1944.

The numbers of scenarios will be what time allows to get right by the date we get cut off ... the priority is getting the major ones correct as they effectively will be the master that any future work is built on.

The ones starting later in time become very difficult in nature to deal with. UV is a good example with it having tons and tons of ships and base units available. When trying to cut down a WitP scenario, one has to make a lot of assumptions as to what *could* be available in the area. One also has to make lots of assumptions of what pilot skills and ship skills happen to be at based on the time that has passed prior to the campaign being started.

I tend to agree with Gary's comment, apart from something small for training, who really cares about anything other then the whole shooting match!

Bugs before Scenarios is my motto. Players can make scenarios, they can't fix bugs.

The "whole war" is a must, but in addition one would hope for a "late War", a "CBI",
an "Operation Cartwheel" and for Brady & company to play over and over, a
"Yamamoto's Rampage" Scenario of the first 7 months or so. The "anti-Brady's"
can play the late war "Marianas to Hiroshima" scenario.

Don't forget the Soviet fanboys like me.

Operation August Storm, the Soviet invasion of Manchuria, would be an interesting one.
