CVE Long Island arrives without planes. I transfer a squadron, The planes leave base but don't appear on the carrier. What am I doing wrong?

Which squadron did you attempt to transfer?

The Long Island isn't an operational carrier so to speak....it's just good for transporting short-legged aircraft.

And sometimes squadrons disappear....There is a whole thread on this subject.
