First, thanks for the AAR's. If you have a spare second, can you answer the following questions so that I can get a better idea of the overall game.

Is this game strictly turn based?

Do I have to read all of those reports (as shown in the AAR) to find out whats going on?

Can you adjust plans after the action has started?

What do all of those 0's, 1's, 2's etc stand for on the map?

Is this a scenerio type game or is it campaign based?

Thanks,

Mike

Is this game strictly turn based?
- Yes

No... you can just take my word for it . But seriously, the AAR is there to show potential purchasers how a scenario might be played. It is a bit in-depth in places because people will have questions about what is happening (just like you did) and I try to anticipate and answer those questions as I go.

Can you adjust plans after the action has started?
No. But you can adjust the turn length. During game setup you can set the Turn Length to 10, 20 or 30 minutes. Then you issue your orders, click the "Go" button and watch Turn 1 happen. After it is finished you then give your units new orders for the next Turn, click the "Go" button and watch Turn 2 happen <rinse and repeat>. You can't stop in the middle of a Turn and change your orders.

What do all of those 0's, 1's, 2's etc stand for on the map?
They are elevation levels which range from 0-9. If you and I are both at Level 2 and there is a Level 6 square between us then we can't see or shoot each other... unless we have indirect fire weapons like mortars or howitzers.

Scenario

Thanks,
- You're welcome

The game is a WEGO turn system. Both sides plots their moves, sets doctrine, sets arty mission profiles, calls for air. Once both sides have plotted their moves, there is a turn resolution phase. Much like Combat Mission, TacOps, Uncommon Valor.
