Dear Mrs wiptwife,

I don't know whom you are married to but he has to be one of the most lucy guys on earth to have a partner like you who would even be bothered to go so far as to take the time to not only be interested in your Husbands hobby but even to go so far as to join this forum looking for help.

I am not able to help you directly but if you email your request to raver@nex.net.au I will pass it on directly to one of the matrix staff and we shall see what we can do (no promises though). Could you include a contact telephone number as well as your first name only in the email as it might help speed things along.

Cheers!

Dave

Yes, I really am a woman and a wife. If anyone does want to contact me directly about my request, I will provide a direct e-mail, so that we can work on confirming it. I will admit, I am sort of surprised that one of you desperate guys didn't think of something like this. However, so far I haven't had any luck, so maybe this idea wasn't exactly great afterall.

I'm afraid you waited too long to ask. Those going are pretty much already there or
on the road..., and neither will be hitting this forum again until they have gotten the
game and played it long enough to have something they want to say about it.

Nah. When the Matrix guys see this heart-rending plea (and assuming she checks out as a wife of a grog and not a grog), me thinks they'll send her one for PR.

Guys,

I have spoken directly with Mrs witpwife and she is the real deal. I have passed on her plea to Matrix and it is now in the lap of the gods.

You guys are great! I really appreciate your support (especially Dave, who called International long distance to help). My husband is starting to get worried about those marriage proposals!

Yeah she does sound cute.....but who really cares when she is willing to do such an extraordinary thing for her husband? If only we could bottle her....we would make millions $$$$$$$$$$$$$ !

I'll let you know. Right now I'm left with hoping that Matrix will come through with the game by the middle of next week, otherwise...

I don't know about your husband, but my take is I think you already gave him the greatest birthday present. I always appreciate my wife's thoughtfulness far more than the gift itself. A letter in a birhtday card just showing you cared and tried couldn't help to move anyone.

Forget about preventing divorce..how about preventing you disappearing from life for days on end.
I can see the headlines now "Record number of sick leave absences in United States put down to Matrix release of new wargame..White House concerned...."

Ok, time for a reality check dudes:

Your wife buys you the greatness war game since computers were first presented, as a cost effective consumer good.

Who now owns the game, who owns the play time to enjoy the game, whom will be in charge of the game.

Yes, it is a great thought and gesture, a woman to admire, however for you young guys out there still thinking they are in charge of there relationships, enjoy the learning curve back to a real reality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ahahaha Ahahaha

I want to thank all of you for your moral support, but I'm afraid that the gods (or the folks in Columbus) didn't come through. Looks like we'll have to wait until Matrix gets things on-line - hopefully early next week. However, if anyone coming back to Southern CA just happens to have an extra copy to sell...
