Hi,
There were previously two patches here. Only one is required now, which includes both of the originally posted patches. Download the attached 1.10d interim patch from this post and install it. That should fix both the 772 fatal error and the tutorial crash. Let us know if it works for you.

Please note that for the Tutorial Crash issue, you have to re-start your Tutorial as a New Game _after_ patching. The error that causes the crash gets embedded in the save file but starting the Tutorial over after patching will fix the problem.

1.10d Interim Patch (attached)

Regardless of whether the registration is an issue?
CTD for tutorial is, registration wasn't...

Do both anyway?

In general, just run both. It won't hurt...

Please note the change in installation order, the registration patch should be run AFTER the 1.10c patch, not before. If you already ran 1.10c, just re-run the registration patch. Let me know if that works, thanks.

The registration patch is not to allow you to register, that may be confusing. It is a part of fixing the 772. Let me know if the 772 error is fixed for you or not.

Regards,

- Erik

Works for me. Thx

Ooops. I should clarify I never had the 722 error. Just the CTD in the tutorial.

It appears to have worked, the game starts and I was able to begin messing around with the tutorial. Starting a Red Barricades ASL campaign tomorrow so I can't go indepth with this just yet, until my ASL opponent starts work on Monday. Thanks for the fix!

Oh, I should have clarified that it fixed the 772 error.

I only ran it for a few seconds, but it seems to run properly now - thanks a lot. I know it's been said many times already in the last couple days, but it bears repeating - this is great service.

Many thanks.

Regards,
Randy

Great work, Erik! My 772 error has left the building. I have the tutorial up at this moment and am running off to mess with it. Too bad i have to work tomorrow, but in my book you guys deserve a break. A long break.

Erik,
I just ran both patches and SUCCESS! I no longer have the 772 error and I was able to start the tutorial. I am about to leave for vacation (literally in an hour) and will be unable to play the game for 10 days. However, my heartfelt thanks to you and everyone on the Matrix staff for the quick (although I am sure it was long hours for y'all) work! It is truly wonderful to see that someone still knows exactly what "customer service" should be! Thanks again and try to enjoy the holiday guys!

Rick

Is it best to run these even if I'm having no problems?

Hi,

Please download both of these patches. First, run the 1.10c patch. Second, run the Registration Patch. That should fix both the 772 fatal error and the tutorial crash. Let us know if it works for you, I'll be up a bit longer to make sure.

Correction: Please run the registration patch AFTER the 1.10c patch.

HOW --Do we download those patches? I tried clicking on the attachment but all I get is a message about how many times it has been downloaded.

2. Registration Patch (Attached)

When the box comes up with the number of times downloaded run your cursor over the file name and it will light up and send you to a link to download it

I knew it was too simple! Thanks for the info. First time I've seen one done in that manner.

Eric I have tried d'loading the 1.10 patch 3 times...the first pop up screen indicates the DL should be 1.87MB I think, but when you start the DL it says onlt 1.78MB and when I try to unzip the finished product I get the follwing message in WinZip.."bad CRC 9f63a8cb (should be e158b6dd)". Any ideas???

Only with the tutorial.

I think our save games still show no graphics may be worth mentioning for the patch, although the CTD is gone, i'll have to restart the IJN Tutorial to see if it worked.P.S. Yes, you must start a new tutorial with the patch.

I think the 1.87 is just a typo. It downloaded for me at 1.78 and it's 1.84 (1,935 kb) unzipped.
