I'm Curious... Anyone working on Scenario's?
What timeframe and what changes do you plan on making?
Historical Based, Alternate Reality or total fantasy?
AI or Human opponent?
Will they be made available to other players?

I've been working on a few Ideas but gathering up info is taking awhile.

I'm interested in an enhanced UV style scenario to include Midway and Hawaii, no production... having a play at the moment :)

Cheers

A Burma Campaign might be interesting. Could start in September 42 and end in May 45.
The Allies tried an abortive incursion into the Arakan region of Burma (Akyab on map) and had to withdraw due to fierce Japanese resistance in sept 42.Then there are the Chindits and Merrill's Marauders incursions into the Mitkyina area. Then the gradual whittling down of Japanese forces in the area and the bloody battles at Imphal & Kohima ,then the liberation of Mandalay and Rangoon.Might make a good scenario.

I'm Considering an Scenario where the Furure Nimitiz Carrier goes back in time... and it doesn't return to future... soooo Japanese bomb pearl and a Super Carriers in range... splash one KB and then Things get interesting...

Especially if Its possiable give USA Nukes in 1941

I'm still trying to figure out how to add the wave motion gun to the Yamato.

And then as a very secret stand-off weapon
Godzilla.

How about a scenario where the USS Hillary Clinton CVN and Multinational Force battlegroup get sent back to 1942 and practically wipe out the US task forces heading for Midway before realising their mistake? A la "Weapons of Choice" by John Birmingham.

No nukes, so far, but subnuclear plasma rounds are used to destroy Corregidor, advanced FAEs are used to wipe out entire Japanese divisions at a time and a single Collins Class followon SS takes out a significant portion of the Japanese fleet *by itself*. It also gives you a USMC force with M-1s and LCACs, with attached Australian Mechanised Battalion with ASLAV ... and F-22 Raptors and more :-)

The game is very young yet but...
maybe an scenario that simulates the whole pacific struggle from the days of the plan orange???
The scenario starts in the 20,s and the japanese have the very really posibility of mofify your production and industry capacity across the years to come to win the USA.

What if....?
Why not?

Cannot set a start date in 1920's, If I recall right, theres a limit to earlier date as a start date.

However it is possiable to edit the database so as to create a less technology advanced setup, CV's that are more like Langley and CVL's in carrying, older Planes, the Claude would be the Newest and Best for years Japanese Fighter... maybe p-36's and F2A's for Allied as Best Fighters (you would have to edit it so the better Zero, F4f etc come out later on say 1943-44

Maybe editing some Cruisers into extra Battleships, More Kongo class BB's to simulate a still Surface fleet view
from WWI times, so From 41 till perhaps 43 or 44 You have CV's only useful as scouting ships
Come 43-44 the Hiryu, Soryu, etc and the Lexington and Yorktown classes appear...

In fact for original Pacwar I created such an scenarion, an "alternate" world where Technology didn't move as fast..

Still 1941 start but vastly less technological advanced on either side..

Ive started on a War Plan Orange 1933 to 1936 game, well that is started the back ground reading required to see if ist feasable.

I have just got a few books on it as reference material and have started getting reference material togther. THeres a paper board game of it which i may buy to see if i can use it ( any one got it ?)

It will take a while to come together as im still playing the main campaign game myself

I'm working on a sort of alternative Scenario 2. See my post on Scenario 28.

I don't think Plan Orange will work well in this game without extensive
modifications.

Getting USN Fighter-carrying Dirigibles to work might be fun though.

I played a board game once where I failed to defend the Philipines despite having 3 USN Fighter-carrying Dirigibles. I think the board game was called "Plan Orange"........
