Mauvaise langue...mais j'approuve la remarque même si je n'ai pas du tout été affecté par cet infâme bug relatif au son.
Mais il y en a tant d'autres...

Hi, could you please translate? The Indeo codec should come with windows, sounds like it was uninstalled when you removed the other pack. I would say based on your results that the K-lite codec pack was causing the problem and also removed more than it should have when it uninstalled.

Ligos seems to be a company site - is that where the K-lite codecs came from?

Here's what they say:

If you have been referred to this page by a pop-up message or a third-party software provider (for a game or other multimedia product), and are not certain that you require Indeo to make your software work, please contact the original manufacturer. We cannot support or answer questions regarding third party software or hardware. In addition, as Indeo XP is a downloadable product, we do not offer refunds once the purchase has been made. Please see the section on Sales Policies for additional information and to get assistance.

With the September 2002 update to Windows XP (known as Service Pack 1), Microsoft suspended distribution of the Indeo codecs as a base part of its operating system. This only affects users with new PCs that are shipping with Windows XP Service Pack 1, or clean installs of Windows XP SP1 on an older system. Unfortunately, a number of game and multimedia titles require Indeo to be installed on the OS in order to function.

System Requirements

* Windows 95, 98, ME, XP or Windows NT/2000
* Pentium II or greater
* Microsoft Video for Windows and/or Windows Media Player

Indeo Legacy Codecs for Mac OS8 & OS9

* Indeo codecs for Mac OS are available directly from the Apple website.
* Suitable for Macintosh OS8 or OS9 (Indeo for OSX is not available)
* No end-user support available
* Requires Power Macintosh (G3 recommended) running QuickTime 3 or greater

Regards,

- Erik

sorry for my poor english
after destroy k lite and perhaps indeo witp play without bug sound but i cannot play with other game like combat mission.
i make a "restauration" of my pc and the k lite codec and perhaps indeo are in the pc. i can play with combat mission
the first try with witp is good because i play 10 turns witout the bug sound.
perhaps the " reinstallation " of k lite and indeo is the solution?
