I know the 'wish list' thread is locked for the time being but...

I enjoy sitting through the comabt animations for the naval battles, but would love to be able to toggle the air & ground combat animations off independently and just see the reports.

Would such a preference setting be easy to add to the game, or is there a way to achieve it by tinkering with any preference files? I suspect not, but you never know...

why not click on the DONE arrow in the upper right hand corner of the animation as soon as the animation screen pops up?
nice picture and interesting color scheme. where did you find it?

Yeah I know...just wanted a way of letting the turn flow with less clicking AND being able to see the naval battles

Picture is a painting of Force Z leaving Singapore by Ivan Berryman - see www.naval-art.com/repulse.htm

Again, yes - but turns take quite a long time to resolve on my PC and I like to keep half an eye on the turn progress whilst doing something else at the same time at my desk...so the less interaction from me during a turn the better!

I'm with you on this one, IanAM. I've also requested it in the wants list.

Be warey of dumping the air to air animations guys as currently the report given after these battles in no way matches the actual 'animation'. FOW is actually applied to both, but unlike UV the report itself doesnt add up the FOW'ed losses shown during the animation but instead seems to give you a totally different, much more inaccurate, figure.

Yes, I do realise that pilots reported more kills than they actually made quite often, but the animation itself already how FOW applied, so I really hope the reports themselves are fixed (and work as stated in the manual) so I dont have to watch every single animation in order to get a reasonable account of the battle.
