Changsha just finished building their fortifications up to 9. I check the base and see that I can't turn off fort construction? Scenario 15, Allies vs. AI Japan, before and after saves available.

...it is off - the option to continue to build is gone - no arrow...

It would probably be more obvious if the text change to "Expand ..." with no arrow like the other ones eg "Expand port".

Note the 9 itself is now greyed out ... the text to the right is probably no longer checked because the fort is maxed.

You got a save for that just before it completed?

I am hoping that it is just a matter of the text not getting changed before removing the button, in which case this is a minor cosmetic issue. I haven't played any further yet, so I don't know if the engineers are still "working" and therefore consuming supplies or not. If they are, then it is a more serious problem.

Mr.Frag, I have saves from when I noticed this and just before ending the orders phase for the five turns prior. Which ones do you want?

The turn just before it hit 9 is the perfect one. Saves the devs having to run multiple turns to see it.

I think this just became a non-problem. I went off to do other things, came back, loaded the game up again and Changsha now shows "Build Fortifications" with no button. Don't know if display would have corrected just with another turn being processed but I'll try to remember to check for that if it comes up again.

Sorry.

HA!

Try it when you can dialin to the computer the problem is occuring on, read the log files showing the error, recreate the exact sequence of events from the keystroke logging you set specifically to catch it, ...

and you still can't duplicate it.

No way you can convince me that computers are not alive and out to get us.
