Hello all! I'm brand new here and this is my first war game in a couple years...

Anywho, I was wondering if anyone's gotten far enough in the game where the Essex-class CV's have become available but one of the ships they were named after (i.e. Hornet) hadn't been lost yet in your little version of history?

Does one end up with two USS Hornets!?

If one of the original CV's do not get sunk, you do not get another one.

I think that in the future we should be able to rename ships and task forces.

A pipe dream, I know, but still..

I would be dissapointed if you could rename something in the game. It is intended to be an historical simulation of this war and being able to rename things would take from that.

However, being able to name taskforces could really help us in playing the game. Right now they are TF 1001, TF 1, TF 1065, etc, if we could name them in a way to associate their mission it could help us alot in running this.

Things have improved since UV anyway. You now get the destination (?) and the cargo of fleets you click the mouse on anyway without going into the TF screen. Plus more information on CVs with aircraft numbers etc. It's not as much as some of us would have liked but a lot more than what we had before and a big improvement
