Most buildings today seem to be made out of cardboard. They just don't last. For building, you need good "Wood." We have the best. And you see it as the game's are built. I am referring to some "hard Wood" or our own top-notch programmer, Michael Wood. Paul V, I and a few others have more contact with you gamers than Michael. That is because he is continuously hard at work programming the games that we so enjoy. So this is a tribute to Michael. A thank you from the staff at Matrix, all of us. Thank you Michael, for working sometimes 40 hours + straight through the days and nights to give us such gaming pleasure! If you too are grateful to old Michael, post a little reply here letting him know that. It would be a nice gesture. He does not have time to answer always nor do we want to slow him down with a lot of E-Mail. But let him know how much we enjoy his handiwork. We get to be first. Way to go Michael! Thank you! Wild Bill and the Matrix Staff. ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games

Yes, Michael, thank you for taking this game system so much further forward than I would never have dreamed of. You and your friends, with your dedication, have given me hours and hours of great enjoyment! My wife probably would not concur, but then there are things that most women will never understand. ------------------ Fabs

I got to say that I have enjoyed his handiwork ever since day one and their is no end in sight for me. They may found me one day over my computer died with the last turn of a SP: WAW scenario going.

My congratulations to Mr. Wood. I am in the computer business and seldom see such high quality work from expensive" professionals". The dedication of the team to follow up and fix is phenomenal. GOOD WORK GUYS!

Absolutely anyone who has put their time into SPW@W deserves a huge thankyou! This game must have some of the finest attention to detail ever, and most helpful programmers who actually listen to the people who play their game.

Michael, cheers for all your hard work and dedication in bringing us this brilliant game. Thanks also for your patience in listening to all of our suggestions (and whinges) and responding to them in your patches. I for one would've told us all to bugger off by now!

And I thought that Wild Bill was referring to a scenario about Operation GoodWood. Oh well... Thanks Mike for slaving away at making this 'ole beast' do some new tricks (and I'm not talkin' about Wild Bill ). We all really appreciate the amount of effort that goes into programming such a product and your dedication and prowess at this task is excellent. BTW it is now summer; just in case you haven't gotten to get outside yet.

My what a positive board - this is more like a 60's era love-in that a wargaming board! Well, I for one happy to see it. The PR work for Matrix by the most vocal 3 on this board (moderaters Wild Bill, Paul Vebber, and Mike Wood) has been tremendous. Fast problem solving and helpful acknowledgement of game issues that exist, plus the joy shown by people genuinely happy with a product. Yes, Michael Wood has done an amazing job and thanks Mike, but the great public relations shown by the above mentioned three (including Mike again) has convinced me this company has a very positive future once they begin the actual selling of games. Many small companies overlook the PR department or just can't handle the amount of time and thought required to intelligently cover their message forums (by that I mean no knee jerk reactions to posts), but what Matrix has done is very wise. You are recruiting free PR volunteers by your enthusiasm and positive thought. I haven't seen any of the frustration and outright anger I used to read on the TS boards as all small fires are quickly handled with intelligence. It takes a lot of patience and time to have this kind of excellent forum support, but it is worth it in the long run and a wise choice of moderators by Matrix. Continued success to all of you and congrats.

[Mike, Great job, I can hardly wait for the patch, thanks for the hard work it really shows in the program (the few bugs will be worked out I am sure). While we complain abit from time to time it just goes to show what a great programmer you are, when things are this good folks tend to forget the work required to "make it all happen" and like little kids we want it all now BigJim

Obsession may be the reason, but it's very impressive regardless. When I trimmed the edges of hundreds of counters from the World in Flames boardgame that wasn't obsessive. They just looked better. Yeah, that's it - better. AH HAHAHAHAHA HA......... Where's my medication? ------------------ Wait for Death. There's a choice? Recon

I would like to thank Mike also, however, I can wait. I'm perfectly willing to wait as long as it takes to do within a forty hour time frame. I'm around programmers a great deal, and it's a shame that so many of them have to work often such exended hours, because the general public has microwave mentality. It seems as though every project that comes up is just as urgent as the one before, all of which seem to require overtime, meanwhile creativity and a life apart from work are stifled. Noone seems willing to ever wait for anything, and such thought processes would drive us to have people working as they sleep if it were possible.

Michael sends his greetings and his thanks. He is very appreciative of these kind accolades. As usual, he is up to his ears with new tasks. But thank you all for your encouraging words for our top programmer, Michael Wood. WB ------------------ In Arduis Fidelis Wild Bill Wilder Coordinator, Scenario Design Matrix Games
