If ya'll don't plan on including an OOB/Map/Resource editor with the game, please include the information needed to make an editor, so some hacker somewhere can write one.
I want the ability to tinker with the game, besides just playing it. Design it without the pitfalls and mistakes in, for example, PAC & WiR, where so much is hardcoded into the game that having access to the OOB and map still doesn't get you anywhere, because any changes you make will either break the game, or result in the game just ignoring your additions (because its hardcoded to look in only certain locations, for example).
Ever played CivII? The game used a text-based config file where almost every aspect of game play and mechanics are declared, and anyone with a text-editor can modify the way the game plays. There's a lot more to WitP than CivII, I know, so I'm not asking for the "Mother Of All Config Files", but design in the flexibilty to allow modifications in the first place, so it can be implemented easily later on down the road (by you or some hacker willing to put in the time to make an editor for the game). Flexibility was the last thing on GG's mind when he coded WiR and PAC, and it shows. Give us a little more freedom with your game, please. Heck, if you include a complete and thorough editor, I'll pay extra for it.
