Nice job...
How come the results show 16 swordfish listed as attacking and
then 24 destroyed and 16 damaged?
or were the 16 planes listed as getting thru the cap?

Dont post that, now we will have the masses ( well just a few vocal ones) screaming the air routine is broken and the allies have super aircraft, and it needs to be toned down.

Just FOW. You can see from the Aircraft Attack: at the bottom only 5 got through.

I like it! Gives some faint hope that using the "Stringbags" might sometimes actually work...like the Bismarck.

Pretty much a "perfect" carrier strike for the situation...

The report is prepostrous!!! What kind of super swordfish planes did you have to blow past dozens of zeroes and hit the Zuiho!!!

I can't get anything to actually FLY and ATTACK the KB.

My aircraft sit on the ground and get decimated even though the KB is 3 hexes away.

And I had 30+ fighters on escort, zero CAP, KB spotted 2 turns prior, and 30 bombers+, plenty of supply and aviation
support.

No missions.

How did you do it?

Well this is 120 turns into the game and this was not the KB it was a 2 Carrier TF that was bombing my airfields.

No it is not. The Cap is spread out over miles and there is always the element of luck.

I find it a bit of a stretch considering they are swordfish but ya never know...tons of possible explanations. Zuiho got nailed by two SBD scouts at Santa Cruz...I know, these are not swordfish but without IJN had no radar so the CAP is at various compass points and altitudes and require visual contact.

I don't find it hard to believe...but I bet you'd find it hard to replicate.

Has there ever been a better example of a plane type thumbing it's nose at all the "purists" who love to google over "modern" torpedo bombers like the Avenger, or Kate , Grace?

lol......(pictures pilot and crew member doing the thumb nose gesture at the camera while flying ye rickety old kite)
