Olvier Stone's new movie on Alexander the Great has been officially delayed by 3 weeks to now open November 24th.

According to the production company, they want to make sure that they get the appropriate Academy Award nominations -- i.e., best director, best picture and best actor (for Farrell.) That probably says a lot about how good this movie likely is -- a much larger epic than that of Troy. I certainly hope it lives up to the hype.

The unofficial word, btw, is that they did not want to open opposite The Incredibles, which is the new move from Disnay/Pixar. I believe it is from the same folks that did Toy Story, so it should also be good.

We are nearing completion of our game, Tin Soldier: Alexander the Great. It should make for a great companion to the movie since we follow all the major battles of Alexander -- and even provide over 10 minutes of History Channel like cut-scenes scattered throughout the game.

Please check back here for the updates....

Just seen the trailer. Looks very promising.. but why on earth is Colin Farrell using what sounds like an attempted Irish accent ?!

Stone had the actors who are supposed to be Macedonian speak with an Irish accent while the Greeks speak with an English accent.

Then shouldn't the Macedonians have German accents?

You know, my wife and I were in London recently on vacation. We went to go see the show "Blood Brothers", that was quite good. (We stumbled into front row seats, so we got a great view.)

During the intermission, we struck up a conversation with the folks behind us. I commented that I found one of the characters difficult to understand. I mistakenly said that he had a strong sounding Scottish accent. I was informed that it was, in fact, the accent of someone from Liverpool. (I'm from Texas, so I don't have the foggiest idea on the difference between any of the accents .)

Anyhow, not until today did I even know that someone from Liverpool was a Liverpudlian. So, thanks wodin.... (Not that I don't trust you, but I confirmed here http://www.hyperdictionary.com/dictionary/liverpudlian

Don't tell it to Ringo. Remember in "Yellow Submarine" when Young Fred told him not to pull the lever? Ringo said, "I'm a born Leverpuller."

While "Liverpudlian" is correct, about the only place you'll find the word is in a dictionary The word in common use is "scouser", with the accent being "scouse".
