Great work on the 3D concept (Though I still prefer my 2D art), but I can't help but wonder, what are those things "floating" on some of the ships?

Agreed. I'm kinda finding the 3D sort of stomach turning if I look at it too long. The lack of uniformity with some detracts from the overall feeling. The 2D is definitely my preference. 2D seems to suit the type of game format better as well, since it's primarily a recognition sillouette, and the WWII sillouettes were 2D.

3D is good for some games, but only if from the same perspective. If you have some ships from an aerial prespective, some from a sea perspective, and some from in between, I start thinking of mighty battleships as toys. Plus, its hard to make out details on small 3D models. With 2D graphics, you can easily make out details, and what year the ship is in. Its all personal preference I guess.

Cheers, CobraAUS.

Would you please consider ridding the few ships of that have gun burst graphics above the guns? I think that it detracts from the artwork, IMHO. Or make it a more common thing. But I like them better without. Just a suggestion. Thanks for the backgrounds and the music mods as well.
