I have a XP machine and I have been running MBT for about 4 months with no problems. I just installed it and ran the game with no errors. For some reason last week the game give me a error when I try to launch it, the error reads C:/windows?system32/cmd.exe ; C:/windows/system32/autoexec.nt system file not suitable for running MSDos files. I went to the SPCAMO site and try the sugestion that where there none of them help. Anybody know what I can try next. I have deleted and realoaded but that didn't help.

Thanks for any help

Pretty typical for windows I'd say - I think the same thing happened to me with Monkey Island.

One solution would be installing an emulator. It's possible to make most DOS games run in my experience, but since the computer must emulate a lot of graphics stuff, it can be expensive in CPU load. I have DOSBOX installed, and on my 1200 MHz, SPWAW runs quite badly. In Linux with XDOSEMU, however, SPMBT runs almost smoothly, so it might be possible to configure it properly under windows as well. Most emulators have options that makes it possible to speed up things (they may be set to a slow pace from default because many old games require that). Either you may want to use DOSBOX and see if you can configure it for greater performance, or find another emulator for windows using google or whatever.

Good luck if you want to try.

I don't know if this info will be of much help, but in early Spring SPMBT will be released for Windows. Maybe this might help. Just an idea.

Are your sure you are launching it from a desktop shortcut that points to the exe file? Have you set up that shortcut properly? Are you using moslo and mousectl?
