Hi all,

Have a PBEM going with Dadman and have had a couple of problems in saving the game turn.

We have been using slot 4 and then a while ago I had finished my turn and ended turn as per norm andwhen I clicked on the button to save the file is came up with "error: failed to save game". So I saved in slot 7 (which was empty upto that point) and it worked fine.

Last turn I tried to save in slot 7 and the same problem occured. I tried slot 4 and also same message occured so now using slot 6 (which was empty beforehand) and worked ok.

It's almost like if the slot has been used before then it won't work again.

I know when playing a PBEM scenario a while ago if there were any comments attached to the slot it would not save but if I removed the comments it would save. I tried removing the comments from mine and Dadman's game but still wouldn't save.

Any thoughts?

Check the save files are not read only.

I use Outlook and if I save from the preview pane, it makes it read only...if I open the e-mail up in it's own window and use the right click 'save as' from there, it is good to go.
