Please note this modified AT 6 has a rounded rudder,a machine gun cowling (and guns) added, and it is of course capable of acrobatic flight..It was not a bad idea, under the constraints of time,supply..

An Australian fighter pilot wouldn't say, "Bollocks".

I know i'm only playing the computer but I've had a Sqn based at PM solely doing ground attacks on units in Buna with escorts. They experience is now up over 80.

It's good for beefing up a CAP. If you have a squad or 2 of P 40's or hurricanes, maybe some p 39's. If you throw in a few wirriways the combat routine looks at the total number of ac in a CAP not there quality an may decide not to attack. Sort of a paper tiger if you will.

Do we still need fighter bombers to attack barges or can all fighters set to 100 ft do that now?

P39/P400 are better for that as they have a cannon, Wirriways are best used to provide cap at rear area bases, and for ground attack and training until something else better is available.
